Default possible bad ecm?...need help

Hey guys.
first of I just found this site...really cool...I was googling my problem....
any way let's get to the hurt...I have a 1991 jeep Cherokee sport, 4.0, 4x4, with a 5 speed..
Other nite it died on me .the 30 amp en.gine control fuse was blown..replaced it blew again.
so I have a short...I used a test light and probed both terminals for the fuse and it lights up.
so I pull the two relays and it still lights the test light...according to my repair book the only components in that circuit are the two relays and the ecm
When I unpluged the ecm the test light went off.
Am I over looking something or is my ecm bad?...I really don't wanna spend the cash on a new ecm...
Thanks

Try disconnecting the o2 sensor from the clip to the harness.

Here's the pinout for a '92 ECM connector, hopefully the '91 is the same. I'd pull the plug and check each sensor circuit for shorts to ground.

Not to hijack your thread az', but I noticed in your Cherokee description that you were running 30x10.5R15 tires.

I have a chance to buy a used set [4] of that size for $100 locally.

Would you have a picture of your Cherokee sitting on those? Any advice as to whether they might be able to be shoe-horned into a stock lift?

Anyone else?

...thanks

Well I figured out the jeep...the wire melted in another spot on the header that I didnt see the first time...she is running good now.

As for the tires.....when I bought the jeep it was stock lift with the 30" tires....so it will work for u....might have have a little tire rub off road....I would show u a pic of my jeep but not sure how to post pics yet....$100 I think is a good deal for tires

Thanks!

...someone else thought they were a good deal too.

I ended up with new P235/75R15's after all.
