Default Timken Unit Hub Bearings Ball or Tapered?

Alright guys. I have a 99 XJ and want to order new front Timken Unit Hub Bearings. Now my year calls for 2 different kinds. Either a Ball Bearing kind if you have Cast Rotors or a Tapered Bearing kind if you have Composite Rotors.

My question is which are better.

I can get either one,... all I have to do is make sure when I order,.... that I order new rotors to match which bearings I decide to go with.

So just would like to know which would be the better bearings to get Thanks.

It's not a matter of which is better. If you have a '99 more than likely you have cast rotors. There's data available on Jeep forums about the two different rotors and hub units.

Hey thanks for the link. Did some reading, great info in the link. But didn't really answer my question. But that's fine I got my answer from another forum I posted on. Was told a Tapered Bearing is better and will hold up to more abuse than a Ball Bearing style. Thanks anyway.
