A loud pooping noise? What is that, a lot of grunting and farting?
But seriously a loud popping noise could be several things. I would need to know a bit more about when the noise occurs to help you figure out what is causing it. Does it happen only as you are turning the wheel? I would advise you start up the Jeep and have a friend crank the wheel back and forth while you look under the front of the Jeep. Most common is probably a loose track bar bracked (check the bolts on the bottom of the bracket). It could also be coming from your steering gearbox. It could also be U-joints, get the tires off the ground and try to wiggle them back and forth and up and down to see if your U-joints are loose. You could also try searching these forums as questions about popping (not pooping) noises come up quite often. Good luck!

Have someone turn the wheel back and forth for you while you crawl under and feel around. It most likly is the track bar bracket. So feel that and feel the track bar where it attaches to the bracket.
The bracket bolts can fill totally tight. Torque them anyway.
I had the same problem. Couldn't turn the bolts with a 1/2" ratchet. Put torque wrench on them. Turned them. Problem I lived with for 5 months GONE. Grease everything also. That makes a big difference.
