yup i crawled under and checked everything several times. all looks good. even took it my mechanic (i use him for the big stuff), he said that is because of the tires and amount of lift. so thats why im buying a RE adjustable trackbar with the mounting bracket so i can eliminate the drop bracket.

I had a bad pop,and it went away after i put a daystar controll arm bushing kit.It also improved handling and ride a bunch,I mean nite and day.I also heard the pop every time I would steer over a quarter turn, and it is gone now.

Make sure your track bar is torqued to stock specs (not just tight). 72 ft. lbs. at the bottom and 64 ft. lbs. at the top. If your bottom mount is not properly torqued it can cause your popping noise.

I have that same sound in my xj only started after i put a lift on. look start it and have someone else sit inside and turn it slightly back and forth so you can look underneath and see whats popping. For me it is my "home made" adjustable tracbar. It pops back and forth in the threads depending on where the stress is on my axle. it could unfortunately be anything in your steering and control arms so as you observe it put your hand on different pieces to feel where it pops the loudest and you can find the source
