Man my thread got hijacked.... well I just bought a nss from jeep for $460, should be here in a couple days.

well I got the new neutral safety switch from the dealership and made a pretty shocking discovery.
the autozone nss is on the left while the new Mopar nss is on the right. Look at how the autozone alignment mark/line doesn't line up with where the shaft from the transmission will go while the mopar nss lines up perfectly. no matter which way you try to adjust the autozone sensor, it will never fall under that line. It appears that the weird lock nut shaft is about 3/16th to the left of where the Mopar's lock nut shaft location is which I believe would cause it to be "out of spec" no matter how you adjust it.
I put the new mopar nss in and so far all is well. I've had bad parts from autozone but this just about ends me from being their customer anymore. I'm tempted to make this it's own thread to possibly save someone else the trouble later on but don't know if thats accepted on this forum.
