Hey, follow-up question. Sort of...I can't get any radio stations...what could be the issue(s)? Or should I start a new thread for that questions. Thanks again!

This thread should be good. Our helpful friend freegdr is subscribed too.
Assuming the HU / Head Unit is powered and a CD or Ipod will play clear sound through speakers. Than it could be the antenna cable not connected to backside of radio. However, on many HU's the antenna also acts as a ground and the unit will not power on without it.
Key question; did the FM radio work at all since the HU was installed?
Also, there is always a reason for a fuse to blow. We did not find that reason. Do you think the fuse blew when installing the HU?

It has worked sporadically since I've had my Jeep which I bought with the OEM installed. Sometimes the stations would clear in certain areas, sometimes not. Now it's the same thing but worse. No, the fuses did not blow after installation. Thanks! I love this forum!!!!

Do I understand correct, the stock OEM radio had the same issue with bad FM rececption? Before replacing the head unit.

Bad antenna. Bad antenna ground. Bad antenna cable. Bad/loose connection at back of radio.
If you still blow the radio fuse from time to time, you've got wiring shorting to ground somewhere. Based on the previous radio install thread you had, I would say it is a distinct possibility based on all the miswiring and confusion.
A fire is a possibility if it is a slow burn/ground-out problem instead of a quick "pop".
Just replacing a fuse is not a fix. Find out why.

Thank You
^ That response is spot on!
As I mentioned before, we did not figure out why the fuse blew. That is concerning.
All I can come up with as to why both radios would have interference is a ground wire or a crossed wire.
This could be troubleshooted by someone that is a car audio technician, would not have to bee a jeep person.
..Charlotte is a long way for most North Carolina forum members, they seem to be in the Ralaigh area, Wilmington and western parts.

Thanks. I've been preparing for my daughter's party, so that's why I've been incognito. My son actually did the install on the radio and the speakers. He mentioned there were a few loose wires that had no connections.
