Performance "Chip" is actually a resistor
My friend fell for one of these "Performance Chip" ads and me being an electronics tech I took it apart to find its a 33k ohm resistor that fools the computer in your vehicle to thinking it needs more air so you get a little more power/gas mileage. For anyone wanting to try this on their jeep you have to take the plug off the oxygen sensor (2 wires) and put the resistor in its place of the sensor. It also makes your check engine light go out if your oxygen sensor is bad (A plus for passing state inspection) I put one in my jeep a while ago and it seems to run a little better but not the horsepower output that they tell you your going to get. I have put these "Resistors" in many different vehicles in place of the O2 sensor and so far got no complaints from anyone. I just wanted to share this with you guys and gals. You can do a search on eBay for ".PERFORMANCE CHIP JEEP CHEROKEE" and check it out ..Tj

The Jett module i use to have plugged right into the ECM under the hood.....Basically your just making 02 simulators that are always reading a certain voltage to fool the computer? do you think this mod could be used to REMOVE the cat for those of use with 2 O sensors?

I kinda want to have a performance switch, like this, sort of:
The problem is I'm a crappy electrician.

So basically this does what Volkswagon did on a corporate scale: One configuration for the EPA test, and another configuration for the road!
