Pass window only works from drivers door switch?
I've read all the posts about the lock out switch, but all my windows work fine except the pass side? I have tried 2 switches on pass and drivers with no change. I also put a new harness in the pass door and no change. The little light in the switch is never on, but they stay green on the other 4 doors. The jeep is a 1998 sport 4 door. Everything else works fine in the jeep? My wife hates it when we go wheeling since she can't control her window!!! Any ideas?

usually the plug behind the drivers side door panel gets corroded and gunked up since its so close to the floor and that causes the other windows to only work from the drivers side, it makes no sense i know lol, ive been dealing with this problem since i bought my jeep 4 years ago haha, they work every now and then, but it pretty random though

Grab a $3 test light from Walmart or rig your own with a headlight and some wire. Either way, check to see if the switch is getting power or not. If it is getting power use the light to see if the switch works. If you got power and the switch works then it is the window motor. If no power begot the switch then trace the wire back to see if there is a broken or shorted wire. Ofcourse check the fuse first. Let us know what you've found.

Pretty sure there is no power to switch, the window rolls up and down fine with the master switch, so I know it's not the motor. I'll try tracing the wires this weekend and see what I can find.

Mine has the same problem! I took apart the drivers door and cleaned the connectors a year ago but the problem returned after a couple of months. Now when the passenger door switch doesn't work, I whack the drivers door with my left knee. The jolt somehow makes the connection, so the passengers switch just lights right up and my wife has power to her window! Problem solved.

I have the same problem with my XJ only its all the windows won't roll down inless you use the drivers side. But from time to time they will work. Might have to try to get it fixed here sometime.

I did the same thing as the drivers side fix on the pass, spliced the light brown wire to the yellow wire and now it works great.
