It is almost assuredly the oil pressure sending unit. Where did you get your last one from?
I'd recommend replacing it with one purchased directly from Jeep. I have had mixed (poor) luck with aftermarket oil pressure sending units.
The OEM one is the best one for reliability/accuracy/mating with your factory gauge. Worth the extra $20 bucks.

Buy or rent a mechanical oil gauge, check the pressure to make sure its correct. Replace oil sender if necessary.
Napa, carquest should have oem quality senders.
