Hi from new user....
Just wanted to say hi to all the cherokee lovers around the world and i have some questions on mods that i plan on doing...
1. I would love to turn my cherokee into a manual. How expensive and trouble could this swap be and do i have to change the transfer case in order to get the swap to work.
2. I want to mod the engine to get better performance, gas mileage, and towing ability as well as off-roading. I have found Hesco on the internet that offers some pretty good mods and i am wondering if anyone has purchased any stroker kits from them; i would like to know how well they work.
There is a lot i would like to do to my cherokee so many questions will be placed in this forum, i hope you all are up to the challenge. Thanks everyone.

Building a stroker motor is a major undertaking. Be sure you have some experience with the inside of an engine and are confident in your skills before spending all the time/money on the stroker project.
Swapping to a manual is a big job too. It would really help to have a stick shift donor jeep of the same year to remove parts from.
As for modding the engine you can build a better intake/filter setup along with swapping in a newer intake manifold (not sure what year is the better one 2000 and up IIRC) The 4.0 makes decent power even in stock trim.
