Ohms reading on fuel injector
Does anyone know the range for ohms on the fuel injectors? I have a 2000 sport 4.0 v6. I have a misfiring cylinder #2. All of the injectors read around the 12 range except the #2 which kept reading at 180. What is a good range to be at?

If it's reading 180 trash it ASAP. You can easily grab a replacement at any salvage yard or just upgrade them all as long as you are going to pull the rail anyway

Ah......no. Inline straight 6, unless you've got some weird diesel.

That's what I expected, since that's the normal 4.0 six-banger that Jeeps have.
It's not a V6, it's an inline 6, sometimes referred to as an I-6. The cylinders are arranged in a straight line. It's not a V configuration. Not all 6 cylinders are V6s.

A V6 would look something like this:
A flat six (a.k.a pancake six) would look something like this:

Got it! Thanks for the correction and heads up!

It's a common mistake. No sweat.
The inline 6 has been a popular configuration over the years. Ford, Chevy, & Chrysler had long runs with inline 6 engines down through the years, and the Ford 300 is still being used in various kinds of non-road equipment. Can't meet smog requirements with those older engines, but they still get used quite a bit.
