Wiper arm stripped out?? There are splines inside of it, and they can be stripped out. The wiper arms are aluminum, and will strip before the steel shaft will. HTH!!

try popping the arms off when its hitting the hood then put them back on where they should be sounds like someone had them off and didn't put them on with the wipers all the way down

At least yours dont go on full speed when you turn them on. I am going to grab a wiper control box out of a cherokee while I am at the JY today and see if that fixes it.

You need to replace your wiper bushings (as do I, that's why I recognize this).

There is a curved clip to secure the wiper if it is not fully seated the wiper will not contact the windshield and slip on the post. Check owners manual for details.

Mine do the same thing... slap the cowl/windshield trim and slap d-side windshield trim... took wiper motor and transmission out yesterday looking for problems... found two: motor was loose on bracket, and the motor shaft bushings are worn badly... you more than likely have the same problem, and will need a new wiper motor. Any small amount of play at the motor is greatly exagerated after travelling along the length of the transmission arms/wiper blades.

my wipers operate fine while in any of the delay positions, but put them in full mode or high and they skip, pause and generally fail at wiping anything off the windshield. Any ideas?
