Yeah, I just got it, I think last month. So far no major mechanical issues. Like I said I gave it a complete tune up, everything from new plugs/wires to brakes, plus changing ALL fluids. I think the next thing on the list will be a homemade front bumper with stinger, like my TJ, and a 2" lift (it's technically the wife's and she *****es about getting into the TJ, so she wants this one smaller).I'm probablly gonna repaint it factory color this spring also.

That sounds like the platform that I want to go with my xj. I still have kids to haul around and the wife doesn't want to have to carry a step stool. Keep us updated. Are you just going to do the front spring spacers and rear shackles? or what were you thinking for the lift?

I was thinking spacers in the front and add a leafs in the rear. The carpet in the cargo area is pretty stained (beyond repair) so that is getting removed and herculined, just the cargo area. I have the window tint ready for it also, just waiting on a warm calm wind day for that.

Big improvement!
Very clean look...those dark grey Grizzly rims look awesome with dark blue paint, & de-chromed bumpers..
Have you considered Patriot Blue for the repaint? 2000-2001 XJ's had it, I think.

Thanks for all the compliments guys!HTh3r0uplicolor makes a spray on truck bed liner available at Advanced for about 7 bucks a can, took me 2 cans. I used it on my TJ flares and bumpers a year ago and I haven't had to touch it up yet. The nice thing too is that if you really want a clean look after a wash, spray a little Armor-All on a rag and wipe it on.CheapJeeper:I am probablly going to go with the original color just because I won't have to mess with the door jambs, firewall and all that. I plan on putting some black door handles and painting the chrome trim ring around the windshield also.
