No turn signals or flashers

No turn signals or flashers
The other day my turn signals and flashers just quite woking. Please follow the scenario as to what happend and what I have done and have gotten nowere. So I need someones help from here.
1996 XJ classic
1. Checked fuse panel for fuse. Nothing there. Box empty with only one inset.
2 replaced the flasher NOTHING!
3. Removed and replaced with brand new flasher and turn signwl indecator. NOTHING!
4. Head light work fine and will click bright and dim.
5. Windshield wipers work..
But turn signals and flasher does not
