Default Want Better MPG's..

ive been reading some thread a while back on someone swapping out injectors from a Ford. i figure i might want to do it to help me a little on MPG's. what pound injectors are you guys putting in? and what color are they and if possible what model cars are they coming out of?? thanks...

They're Ford Motor Sport 19lb/hour injectors. Neon injectors are a better upgrade though. It'll get you 1-2mpg

yea i want top get some neon ijectors. i was on CF search engine and found that neon ones are the best "upgrade". you wouldnt happen to have a part number would you????

just search ebay for the part number I gave you. I believe they're out of a 2.4 from 96-2000

Whats different about these injectors in comparison to the stockers? Are the pound per hour rating different or the number of orifices in the end of the injector different? Will it give you some power along with better mpgs?

i think its cuz they have 4 holes rather than 1

but thats about all i know lol

its the spray pattern. stock XJs have single hole injectors. the Neon injectors have a 4 hole spray. They flow pretty darn close to stock injectors at stock fuel pressure. They'll give you a little bit more power and you'll gain about 1-2mpg.

care to explain a little more? i see tha as making the mpg's go down horribly

It still using the same amount of fuel through the injectors, just dispersing it more evenly producing a cleaner burn.

oh, i thought they would make it throw 4 times more fuel, but yea that makes sence, thanks for clearing that up

Are they a direct plug and play swap..I am actually a Mustang guy and have plenty of the stock 19lb inj. around...thanks
