Which is better, to replace my existing leaf springs on my 01 xj or install an add a leaf?

new leaves would be better than add-a-leaves.

Add a leaves are cheap, but unfortunately temporary. They will eventually go flat on you and then you will have to either buy more add a leaves or replace the spring anyway.
