I think this is the first thread I've ever seen go this long over a Heater Control Valve.

Such a simple little device that turns the water flow ON or OFF and controls the flow.

Wth?? Now I'm rambling..

It is a long and old thread, but it has a lot of good information in it for a wanna-be-self-maintaining jeep owner.

Way back in post 7 is a picture of the heater core getting flushed. Does anyone have a picture of what it looks like at the actual connections to the heater core on a 95ish XJ?

I've spent hours searching so if there are easily findable photo's I'd appreciate the keywords to find them.

Ok , mine just has a valve on one (1) hose (to heater, I believe) it's Metal, probably OE, doesn't leak, and has got to be older than you people's plastic ones (1989).
You should replace that plastic POS with a '87-'90 style.
