Default New fuel tank, which to get?

So I'm 100% sure there is rust inside my fuel tank, and want to replace it with a new one. I see three on Rock Auto, but figured I would ask here first.

Go with poly, lasts longer than the metal ones and won rust.

I think I have a poly guard right now but a metal tank, I will check.

I can't find a poly tank for a 1996 jeep only steel.

This seems like a universal sending unit with a different style fuel pump than the one my 1996 Cherokee comes with. Do you think I can use this sending unit with my Cherokee? I need to replace my current one since it's got some rust in it as well as the tank.
