Need Help with a Rustys Track Bar!
Hey guys I just ordered a Rustys offroad track bar. Was just curious if i needed a tie rod puller to get my stock tie rod end of the track bar off of the mounting bracket. Or can i simply pry/bang on it to remove it so i dont have to rent a puller? Also will the new one just slip into place? Or do i have to have a special tool for that as well? Thanks for all the help!!!

Buy/rent the fork looking thing from a Autozone... wedges in there and beat it with a hammer... takes them right off... $20 maybe and a tool you will use all the time... mines wore out from ball joints and everything else... lol

I got mine off with a pickle fork
If the TRE on the frame side gives you trouble, just remove the 4 bolts holding the mount in place and remove it. If the nut is rusted you dont have a lot of room to work.
Once the whole thing is off you can whack, bang and pickle it with a lot more leverage

they are easy to replace you get them anywhere from offroad shops to ebay to ballistic fab to rustys to ruffstuffspecialties....
sounds like its easy to get them to me IF you ever had a defective one.
as for the trac bar you should be able to knock it out with a hammer. it took me about 15 mins to get mine off. i also hate rustys trac bars but ill let you keep an open mind about them and see for yourself because their parts do work out for some people.
