Need Heat? backflush your heater core
I had changed my T-stat, and did a flush of the radiator etc. Heat was lukewarm at best.
A few folks on here suggested backflushing the heater core - this is very easy to do, and took less than an hour. And now I have good heat.
Prior to doing this, I called 4 repair shops. No one mentioned doing this - all I heard was replacing the Heater Core - at $900 - 1,200!!!
this clip made it super easy - and it's a staight 6 4.0 so you can't go wrong
