Default 31 12.50's on stock xj?

Wondering if some boggers 31 12.50's would fit on my jeep lol. 30 9.50s fit without scrubbing at all.

No way, my 31x10.50 rubbed at full lock until I changed the LCA's to a set of RE's I got here.

30x9.50s are the biggest that will fit without significant rubbing on a stock XJ. If you want to go up to 31s you need at least 1.5" of lift. I'm on a 3" lift and with a bit of trimming I could fit 32s.

Bro, its not gonna work. You'll end up chewing up a perfectly good set of tires and messing up the fenders on your Jeep. If you honestly wanna run 31s for cheap buy some spacers for up front and shackles for the rear.

Yeah I forgot to mention that they rubbed at full lock with a 3 inch lift. If your gonna do something to test it, I'll trade you tires so your not chewing a good to pieces, cuz thats all you will do. It won't work without a lift.

Why even ask if your just going to do it any way?

Just do it than come back and let us all know that it won't fit..

hit one good bump and see if you sing the same song. if you do, your lucky, I don't know how your doing it. I've worried a few times I was gonna rub my 31's with the 3 inch lift.

But are they 31x12.5's like the OP said he was going to try? I'm willing to bet they are 31x10.5......those 2 inches make a huge difference, especially if you are mounting to the stock rims...not near enough backspacing to make those ride.

I have 2 inches on mine and I run 31x10.50 Thornibirds. The lugs on the sidewalls grab on complete turn. The rear rubs bad on a big bump. I tried the 31s stock and I could barely even turn the wheel...

I have the 31 10.50 on stock rims with 3" lift. I don't have any issues in the back.. But do rub the front on full turn.

huh, thats weird. I'm running the same set-up except my stock rims are from a ZJ, I don't rub on full lock anymore, stuffing my tire into the fender is a whole nother story...time for bumpstops?

Have you had them on stock xj rims? i'm curious now. It's kinda neat to have shiny mud lugs on the inside, but i could learn to live without.
