I have over 252 thousand miles on my 90 xj and I use cheap Kragens (oriellys) 10-40. I cant be the only one using the cheap stuff. The weather is decent year round though in northern California

I would not use the 15W40 T5 in the winter.

T6 (5W40) is far better suited since it provides the least amount of wear on the engine components at cold startup

I have used T65w40 for 100k currently at 210k and runs like a sewing machine and I still don't leak oil externally.

Also the t6 Rotella is pretty cheap compared to mobile 1 and royal purple. Someone on here actually did a lot of research on the different oils and by the numbers and facts, t6 or t5 is the best oil for our 4.0s.

Edit: it was salad. I read the whole thread, very interesting and informative. Sorry I don't have the link to it. Every oil post that comes up should just be referred to his post.

It's always fun. Maybe if we just keep looping back to your thread then they'll stop? Haha

Default Best synthetic 10w-30?

I recently got a reman 4.0 to replace the blown up one in my jeep, I'm just wondering if anyone recommends a good brand?

I recently just bought a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 5.7L and was curious what brand of oil would be best to use. I used to drive a Ford F-250 V8 and I used MotorCraft because it was ford made and my engine seemed to liked it better than anything else. Any suggestions?
