More budget injector upgrade questions
#526
I ended up choosing these. $20 each (new) on ebay.
0280155917 (Ford V10)
http://injector-rehab.com/shop/Flow_Rates.html
246cc @ 23lb @ 43psi
277cc (25.9lb) @ 49psi
vs
703 (Dodge neon)
238cc (22.6lb) @ 43psi
268cc (25.5lb) @ 49psi
Question? I noticed after all my research I forget to check if these use the factory clip. They don't. Some reading shows its fine since the rail is bolted down. Input from anyone? Thanks

First off they do use the "clip-nut" like stock XJ injectors. I have a 917 sitting on the desk in front of me as I type. But the cc/# ratings shown here seem fairly generous. The Bosch data sheet I have and the Witch Hunter site both rate the 917s at around 215cc @3 Bar (43.5psi) which seems rigth since the 917s are also off the same Ford engines as the yellow 710s
I confirmed what seller said to this chart also. Did you test yours?

I wouldn't return them just yet. I have sold injector cores to Keith at Injector Rehab and he seems an up and up guy so I'd just write and ask him how he came up with the numbers. Here's a link to the Witch Hunter site http://www.witchhunter.com/injectordata1.php I would need to e-mail you the Bosch Data Sheet since I only have it as a xls file
Bosch sites shows
14.5 Heptan 270 177 186.6 267 6.05 C ¤ 12°

Old fart with a wrench
After viewing all these numbers and flow rates, the only thing that matters is adequate flow delivery, 4-holes, and connectors that match your engine harness. The PCM controls mixture by varying injector "on" time.
