Luke Warm Heat
I have a 89 jeep xj and i have a heat issue, the heat will get a little warm but not hot. So i backflushed and flushed the heater core several times, i made sure the blend door was in the right position, the one thing i did not change was the thermostat.. Idk if that will affect it but i was wondering if there would be anything else i could check or do to solve this problem?? Thanks

I had little heat in mine for the longest time. The gauge was happy and both heater hoses were hot. What to do? I ended up pulling the blower motor off and found the wheel on the blower motor along with the heater case plugged with insulation. Got it all free and it's total nirvana now.

Get us a temperature reading from the inlet and outlet hoses that run into the firewall and go to your heater core. The difference in Temps will go along way in troubleshooting

I did the comparison with my hands they both were ferly hot and felt the same temp, i can get an exact temps on them tomorrow.

awesome! If you haven't gotten another thermostat yet I recommend a Mopar 195 tstat. They are a little more costly but are proven to be much more reliable. Just don't use a failsafe tstat. They are known to fail open almost immediately
