Default lower control arm help

OK i just got them and got the johnny joints together "thanks guys"

if you didn't know they didn't come with instructions to install the arms
either.

So my questions are which end do the johnny joints bolt to (the frame or the axle) ?
Do i remove the frame arm adjusters on the xj?
There are washers four larger zinc and four small grade 8 ones where do they go?

The end with the bushing goes to your frame mount and the Johnny Joint goes to your axle mount.

wrong. bushing side goes to axle, joint side goes to frame.

Yep bushing to axle johnny joint to frame. Those look like the Rocky Road arms and if so then they are designed for the johnny joint at the frame. Rocky Road doesn't send instructions...

it really doesnt matter which end goes where. RE's stuff goes JJ on the axle. I'd orientate it in a way that keep the arm flat as possible.

You are 100% correct on the RE arms.. I think I'd drop Rocky Road a call cause I may have to concede I was wrong..After giving it thought wouldn't make sense for the flex joint at the frame..Logic keeps telling me it needs to be at the axle end so that is can fully flex with the suspension..I dunno but I hate saying it I could have been completely wrong..doh..

the bushing would be better on the axle end so it can handle any vibrations and bumps.

My thinking was put the JJ at the axle end to have that end more free to flex and twist, thus not having that happen at the frame mount. Then, put the bushing end at the frame end to isolate the bumps and jarring, happening to the axle and control arm, from the frame and passneger area. Just one guy's humble opinion.

rocky-road said the johnny-joint goes to the axle! it absorbs shock and road noise better then a bushing or hiem

Good on ya, Mark, I love it when somebody tells me I'm wrong and then come to find out they are full of S***. I don't give out advice on here based on BS. I've either experienced it myself or researched it.

Good deal glad ya got that figured out. Now I expect a full review of these once you are done with the install and so on. I have been looking at them.
