optima battery choice
I have a 91 Cherokee sport 4.0 HO. Upgrading battery, maybe going to run lights and small system after my lift. Which battery do I want? Yellow or red top?
I would have searched but hard to do from my phone so don't kill me.

I run a red top. good battery, no real issues with it.
From my research, they just aren't designed to recharge properly with the type of charge any stock vehicle alternator is able to give them. I put a smaller pully on my alternator just in case, to make sure it charges above and beyond stock.

So looks like I'm getting a red top. But....
There is no way it will fit there
You're positive that it won't? I was going to relocate my air filter to the battery position.
I planned on doing the big 3 upgrade.

i thought it was general knowledge that optima batteries are overpriced junk. i guess people still assume that paying more for a battery will somehow make all their lights to work better and there alternator charge more. save some money and get a duralast gold (jmo)
