A little help please (Steering Stabilizer)
Hello all I'm new here and new to my 88 XJ I've been replacing all front end parts to stop DW. I'm at the stabilizer and the one I got from the parts store, the mounting bolts are diffrent than my stock. My stock has a long thin striaght bolt and the one I got from the store is fatter and has a cone like shaft that would go into the tie rod hole, but will not go through at all. What gives here? I've been looking all over the place for this stabilizer and all I see is the wrong mounting bolt, help thanks.
PS this is a great place for info

first of all, welcome from North NJ!
as far as your stabilizer, did you just get an OEM replacement from the part store or did you go for a beefier aftermarket one?

Thanks for the welcome, and thanks for your guys input. I tried to get a oem type, I also tried using the stock parts with the new stabilizerbut the sleeves wer're too small for the stock bolt to go through. I have decided to get the crown up grade with the new tie rods, drag link and stabilizer so I can replace everything in one shot or I can try what Dangerous mentioned. as in pull the sleeve from the stock bushing and insert it into the new bushing?
