lift ordered wondering on tire size?
I have a 90 xj and i ordered my rc 4.5 inch lift with full spring packs and i'm running 97 zj stock wheels and wondering what size tire would fit the best. I've allready removed the flares.

You can use any 10.5" wide tire. Interco has those up to 34". I would not go any wider on stock wheels

I don't know the width of the wheel you're running, but a good rule of thumb is...............7inch rim, no bigger than 10:50...........8 inch rim no bigger than 12:50.

33's on 4.5 look's just about perfect if you ask me. As BeepBeep said though, regearing is something to look into if you do that.

okay i have a 5 inch lift with 33's and im having a bad shaking problem at 45. could this be due to needing to regear? i have an automatic so i never really thought much about it but this shake and running rough is getting old ha. and as far as that lift goes i would get 32's if this is a dd. i had to cut quite a bit to get 33's to fit to where i can flex any. and also if you arent going to do TONS of offroading an 11.50 inch wide tire would probably be okay on a stock wheel. if not 31's would be veryyy safe

i have a buddy that has a rustys 4.5 and he has been running some bfg mud 32's on some black steels 10.5s and he liked it as a DD but now he has a set of 33s under it and is happy
regearing isnt a big issue unless your really doing alot of highway freeway driving but for around town its fine
i have a 3 inch rustys on 33s and its fine for everything i do
the only thing is if you would want to do any cutting or trimming to fit tires if not just stick to 32s 33s
