LED Light Bar Wiring to factory fog light switch
So i am going to be wiring up my LED Light bar to this wiring diagram that i will be following.
I want my light bar to only come on when i turn the fog light switch on, so that i can turn it on/off whenever i want to. I do not want to have to have the lights on for it to be able to work. Will this diagram work? or will i have to bypass the wire to the fuse box.

Looks good, Codak.
Just make sure that wire from the fuse box is fused.
Do you know how much current your light bar draws? You might want to run it on its own relay, rather than out of the existing relay. If you do, no problem, just connect terminal 85 of your existing relay to terminal 85 of the new relay, and wire that relay the same way. (With its own fuse, of course.)

I don't know how many amps it pulls but it is a 200w LED Bar if that helps.
And when you say existing relay what do you mean by that? Does the factory wiring have an inline relay wired in?

No better time to learn than now. Follow this link and post your answer below.

If you already have factory fog lights yes they have their own relay and no you don't want to tie into that circuit.

If it's not, then why are you showing it connected to the fog lights?

'97 and up with factory fogs installed? If so there are 2 relays in the fuse box under the hood.

You getting rid of the factory fogs or want everything to run off the same switch? No idea about draw but have to think that would not be a great idea. I wired up factory fogs in an '00 that did not come with them. Not exactly like factory but as close as I could get. Did a write up. Maybe some of it will help?
