No fuel pressure

Default No fuel pressure

No fuel pressure at fuel rail. I have replace fuel pump, fuel filter and checked relay. Still not getting any fuel pressure? 1994 Cherokee with 4.0..... any ideas?

  1. Have you checked the fuse?
  2. Have you checked for voltage at the pump?

I plan on crawling all over her tomorrow with my multimeter. I did check the fuse and relay. How many volts should I he getting at the fuel pump, all 12?

12 on cranking, 8 or so in Run position

Did the 94 have the ballast resistor, or was 93 the last year for it? I'm also thinking the engine computer runs the pump briefly to prime it when you first turn the key on and then not again until it sees the engine cranking, or is that just the Renix?

I think they had the ballast resistor until they went returnless fuel delivery.

As for the 94, I'm not sure. It has to have a priming feature though.

I had a 94. I don't remember a ballast resistor. I remember seeing people post about it and thinking it was weird.
