Jeep wont stay in gear!
My jeep was recently pulled out of a mud hole and once I got it out it didn't drive because my transfer case was stuck between 4 lo and neutral, I had to hit the lever with a hammer to get it in 2wd but now it won't stay in gear and if I accelerate or stop too fast it makes awful grinding noises, I cant drive over20. Need help!!!!!

You can fix it haha, I was just messing with you when I mentioned a rebuild.
Check the pivot/retaining nut, disconnect linkage and try it by hand, Try dropping one side off the pavement and rolling it to unbind it then move. I know in my cummins it will bind itself and until it slips you cant shift it.

Theres a good chance the shifter linkage bushing is sacked out, does it have a lift? If it does, you probably have a t-case drop kit between the crossmember and the frame...this puts a bit of stress on the shift linkage bushing, and over time that stress creates play in the linkage(bushing), making it hard to complete the transfer from 4 to 2.
Or you can weld a fat flat washer right below the original position to keep the linkage rod level.

Are you in neutral when doing it? I would try just rolling at less then 5 miles per hour putting the TCase in neutral first then giving it a good tug to go into 2 hi.

Honestly, grind it to the ground. It has a problem obviously, use it til it goes, if it does. Some just like to grind. Mine grinds into 4 lo and has no problems. Thats my professional advice.
