Default Jeep stalls when it is not fully warmed up

My friends 96 4.0 stalls if it isn't up to temp. It is idling high and it won't jump either. Any ideas?

1. What is state of tuneup hardware? Plugs, wires, cap, rotor

2. A marginal battery can create stalling and is very common. LOAD TEST the battery

3. Cleaning throttle body and idle air control is never a bad idea

There are other possibilities, but the above 3 things should be verified/completed first before moving onto other more complex causes.

Since it's an OBD-II... is the MIL on and did you scan the codes?
