CHEROKEE w/ 6inch lift, will it fit 33's without having to cut the fenders?
Hey everyone I've got a Cherokee with a 4.5in Rubicon Express lift with 1.5 inch spacers and a 6inch-ish SOA lift in the rear, will i fit 33's without having to chop fenders or anything?
Thanks for the help!

They'll "fit", but regardless of your lift height, 33s will mangle your fenders unless you bumpstop aggressively. In fact, now that I think about it, you will need to trim for 33s. And when you flex, say goodbye to straight sheet metal. Unless you trim.

alright thanks man, i would have thought that perhaps with the 1.5 inch spacers it would have help to deteer such a thing from happening (because it moves the coil further away from the body and whatnot) but i'll see how it goes

I had 5" + 32s with trimming and still creased my fenders until I improved the bumpstopping. Whenever at flex with the wheels turned - crunch! The backspacing of your wheels is also an important factor: more bs (4.5" +) and the tire tucks into the wheel well. Less bs (4" or less) and the tire sticks out past the fender - therefore more prone to ... "crunch"!!

It's also possible to do minor trimming and still keep your stock flares (thereby keeping that stock look if that's your goal). There's a couple write-ups on some forums (possible NAXJA or Jeepforum) on how this is done.

there is a guy in the fabrication who cut hit fenders and they look stock. ill see if i can find them.
as for my fiberglass fenders, i orig was going to purchase from Rustys offroad, but roughly 700 shipped to my house, i didnt want to spend that much.
I found my pair on craigslist for 150 bucks new!

this is all so odd to me, i have an 89 XJ with a 3" fabtech lift and 2" block and 2" spacer with 33/10.5s and i don't rub at all when flexed and i am not cut, i guess i just got lucky somehow
