Talking project ideas

ok so this summer im buying my cousins 89 cherokee 4.0 auto with 242 transfercase, it has less rust then my 91, but i've put alot of work in my 91 and the 89 needs nothing, so should i build the 89 that has little rust and runs great, or should i built my 91 that has the rust bug?

That's toff one. I would say build the 89 since it has no rust but, your 91 has a waaaaaaaaaaay better motor and fuel injection system to work with.

Well since you have a donor you could easily swap the motor in an replace all the computer stuff and what not. Your motor in the 91 should swap and mate right up to the trany so that would be all good. Then it's just a matter of having all the wiring, computer and what not and transfer it all over. Then you'd have the best of both worlds. Newer HO motor and no rust..then add a lift and such and you are golden. Then you could swap your 91's front axle in since it's a non disconnect and be even better.

I would build the 91 I also have a mildly customized 89 with a 5 speed manual transmission that i am keeping around for a latter build and I am currently working on my "new" 96 that has less rust and runs better just because it is cheaper and I am poor.

Really? My first car was a ford with that very same motor and I thought that it was a hunk of crap and I think that you would be better off sticking with the stock motor they are as tough as nails.

man i have owned four trucks with the 300, i love it, if you take care of it it'll last as long as the 4.0's and it has more torque and can be modded just as well, 300I6 hooked to a c4 or c6 to a 205np, thats dang near indestructable lol, just wondering if anyone else did this lol

so ok guys tell me wut you think, im gonna do a four inch lift, total cheap here so it'll be a mix of bastard pack and zj front coils and spacers for front and longer shacles, hows that so far? then trim the fenders as much as possable, and make home made tube fenders and home made frnt and rear bumpers, then run some big BFG's, and a hack-n-tap, new upper and lower cntr arms, sound good? im getting it (the91) ready to run at the iron range OHV park, i figure i'll build the 91 then swap the parts to the 89 when i feel the times right

i think that you should switch over all your stuff over to the 89 and just use your 91 as a beater
