Default instrument cluster

I once switched my basic instrument cluster with one that had gauges and it didn't work. Now I see from responses to this subject that the oil pressure and water temp. sending units must be switched too. Will the tach work as is (accurately) ? I hope I'm not making everyone tired of this subject, thanks.

I know when you get new sensors such as oil pressure they ask if you have a light or a gauge, so yes some sensors must be switched too

Anything that had a light before, and now has a gauge, will require a sensor changeout.

Sorry lads, I had to go away for a while but I'm back now. Thanks for the info., that's what I need. Aside from the fact that I just prefer gauges to warning lights, I did have a problem with the cluster quitting for a while that I thought would be the end of my sanity. Just for general info. to anyone having a similar experience, the problem was in the fuse block, the socket or metal clip that the blades of the fuse plug into was loose in it's connection so everytime I checked it with my meter the slight pressure from the probe closed the circuit and I got a normal reading. I almost had to be commited be for I found this. Anyway, thanks for the response, I just hate warning lights.
