i finally got my first cheroke!!! traded it even for a 1992 isuzu pickup.. heres what i need help on...

the roof leaks somewhere, it has a moon roof and racks, tomoro racks are getting sealed...

the t-case wont engage 4wd.. the "part time" light wont turn on or anything =[[

thats it for now really

are you sure its not engaging and its just the lights not working?

yeah im sure... i went straight to the beach today to test it out b/c i didnt want to go anywhere too far out of the way... but i went to the beach and put it in neutral than engaged the t-case than started driving. i punched the gas and while the back wheels spun.. the fronts didnt kick anything up. i even did sharp turns... =/

But thanks!! im really stoked about it even if some things dont work!

sound like the it has vacuum disconnect is not working. what year is it? some dana 30 came with the disconnect some didn't.

Does the t-case go into neutral? If not, it sounds like the linkage is bent or out of adjustment.

its a 1988 as stated below where my avatar would be lol. i havent even touched the front yet... its been brakes, tune up, and radio so far and that was covered in one day...

i'll make sure to try that in the morn... when the t case is in neutral the truck wont go anywhere correct?

it DOES go into neutral and immobilize the jeep

depending on how busy we are tomorrow around the shop ill check out the vacuum lines and test them keeping my fingers crossed that its the only thing thats keeping this from going to the beach during high tide
