There was a couple of guys on here who could take your vin# and e-mail a copy of the original "build sheet".
Think they worked for a Chrysler dealership?
Will see if i can find their user names? ?

That would be awesome! For the record so i dont look like a complete idiot i bought this jeep used from a couple so i have no idea what options they picked. They dont seem like the off-roading type, but you never know what kind of mood your jeep will put you in

Add some insurance (rock rails, stock gas tank and t-case skid) and go have fun

You can go off-roading with your stock XJ alone but you must be ready for the limitations and damages it may take...
Best thing to do is to save some bucks and try to invest on tires, lifts etc.
You can do it one step at a time...

have you guys actually taken a hmmwv off road? my 93 with two inches and "slick all terrains" can out perform a hmmwv

Love the pictures. Every time I see a Jeep flex out It makes me want to keep working. I really do not need much flex nor do I need much lift. Mine is going to be a beach driving rig. There are no real trails or anything like that around where I live. Still I love seeing what the XJ can do it always amazes me.
