how do i install a new ignition switch on a 92?

how do i install a new ignition switch on a 92?
I cant seem to find out how to install it that column is solid metal no screws to remove at all it has the tilt assembly. Also i have no reverse lights and it will only start in neutral. I was told to look for the nss which i found i found no bolt holding it on and it needs to be cleaned. so, i am going to replace the ignition switch anyways since i already got it.

Are you talking about the key/tumbler apparatus? Otherwise the IGN. switch itself is farther down on the column and is removed by a couple screws.

if you are talking about the cylinder the key goes in to, then you need:
steering wheel puller (any GM one will work)
lock wheel compresser (AUTOXONE should give u these together for rent)
17mm wrench
6-8" philips head screwdriver.
the ignition cylinder itself is held in by one screw on the right inside the steering column. just remove it, slide the key cylinder out and the new one in. line up the groves and you are good to go. ith ignition cylinder itself is like $10
