Yeah they are notorious for going out. I replaced my slave cyl not too long ago. It was pretty simple. You will need one buddy to help you on the inside of the jeep while you work on the outside with those 2 bolts.

The most tricky and time consuming thing I found with mine was removing the stupid steel hose. It was partly stripped and it is soft metal I stripped it even more. It eventually came off with a set of vice grips and some elbow grease.

I don't see how to bleed it... or, remove the line, or anything to that effect...

remove the roll pin with a small punch, fill the slave, reattach to the line, take cap off master incase of overflow, push slave plunger in bolt to the trans pump the pedal slowly a few times, reinstall the master cylinder cap and it should work

isnt that thing i see on the master with a hole in it the bleader ? pretty sure it is.. its on bottom on this pic

also.. its a sealed unit.. it should have not failed or needed bleeding.. so... plan on just taking back and have it warantied.... hope you got it local..

its hard to tell from the other pic but the one i did had that part, but inside that where an allen head was suposed to be there was nothing there which is why i had to do it the way i had explained

well...
after all that, it started chattering...
turns out the clutch is plain done... giant pile of "bird feathers" in the bell...
new stock clutch going in (flywheel/tob/pb...)
