Default High idle!!!

Ok. This is getting annoying. My Jeep was idleing high a few months ago and I thought I fixed it. i know the usual fix is changing the old injector buchings. Well...since I had 3 injectors that where shot, I changed the entire set. Everything was great, until started to get cold. Now almost every time I start, my idle is between 2000 and 3000rpm. Now my ujoint is taking a crap on me too. That is an easy/quick fix so its not really a bit deal to me. But Im pissed that the high idle back. Any input???

I just pulled my throttle body off and clean it very well and also found one of my intake bolt/nut was loose.... and also I put a clamp on my brake booster hose coming off of the intake...

It all seems good now!!

Search for adjusting your TPS- throttle position sensor we have a few threads about TPS woes on here. That should help your Idol out.

Thanks for the ideas. Why would it start happening all of a sudden when it gets cold?

Mine was fine till it got cold out???? But mine was fine when it first started and as soon as I drove it down the road then came to a stop then it would idle at like 2500 rpm.

Prolly a Coincidence. Maybe a power issue you know electricity and cold don't mis so week it could be sending a faulty signal to your TPS. That is a lil far fetched but I have a feeling your TPS is finally kicking the boot. Pretty simple to correct though just need a multimeter and some patience
