Default Help with removing LCA.

I don't have a jack tall enough to lift the Jeep, so was wandering if I can R&R the LCA with the full weight of the Jeep on all fours?? Thanks.

Never taken a LCA off without a jack, go by yourself one there not very expensive and you'll use it all the time.

The LCA's hold the rear in place and if you remove one the rear is gonna either roll forward or backward. Not a good idea IMHO...Tj

Just use the jack you have to support the weight of the vehicle, do one arm at a time. Did mine that way and had zero problems.

My jack doesn't even touch the frame.

Sorry for hijacking this thread, but I have a question.

So LCA's are supposed to have (for lack of a better word) torsion or tension on them? After doing the bushings on mine, they seemed like the arms went back in too easy. Like they weren't pushing the axle forward or pulling it back. Even with the truck on all 4's. I did have to do a little alignment of the bolt holes, but not too much. I thought it was odd but is it right?

I may just try to do one LCA at a time since I can't dish out any cash for a jack. Need to get these on by this weekend for some weekend fun.
