help my wipers stopped working

check the fuse first. if the fuse is good then use a multimeter on the wiring harness that attaches to the wiper motor and make sure you are getting power to the wiper motor. if you are getting power, then you probably have a burnt out motor.

If it is not the fuse I would check the wiper linkage to see if one of the pivet points broke free of the bushing. This happend to me and replaced the linkage and the wiper motor. it is a pain to fit the wiper linkage and moter into the small opening that the XJ, MJ give you.

Forgot to say that if you put too much stress on the wiper system something will brake. I always scrape the snow off by hand befor using the wipers.

I had the same issue with mine. My foot slipped off the clutch and kicked the panel and managed to break the fuse or relay or whatever its called (I know it was bigger than a fuse and silver, could not find it in a parts store. Ran a fusible link for a while until I found another in the junk yard)
