Welp, last night I think I got it. Holding the pedal did help. Got it started. Just hope it'll keep starting in the near future. Already checked the injectors, no leaks. The "poor man's prime" didn't help. Thanks though.
Just hope it keeps starting.

Flooring it cut's off fuel, meaning it's flooding. You might pull the line loose right at the MAP and check for vacuum there while it's running. I know you checked, but that line there is a very common problem/cause for flooding.

On a fresh start with long crank, after a few seconds (maybe 10s of cranking), pull out one of your plugs and see if its wet with gas. If that is the case, you are most likely not getting spark. That would mean bad CPS, bad coil or other issue related to spark in my opinion.
I'm still leaning towards bad CPS or short in the CPS wire.

67GMC, I got it to start, I drove it to work today. So I am getting spark.
DFlinstone, I checked the MAP tube after I got home and am for sure getting vaccum there. Maybe the sensor is old and not accurate?
I'll let y'all know if it starts acting up again.
Thanks again for the help.

Guess what guys, it did it again today. I'm getting tired of this, makes me want to sell it.
I know for a FACT that I'm getting spark.
I checked it while trying to start it.

I guess I'm just going to have to replace anything and everything related to spark, fuel, and air.

Like suggested, I might pull a plug while it's not starting and see if it's wet. Funny question there. If it's held floorboarded the whole time it may get no fuel. But then it DID sound like it was flooding also.
With the temp sensor on the left side of the block unplugged, it will run on some default setting. I might try that.
Recently a new to me 90 was randomly dyeing. I was a little supersized when adjusting the TPS cured that. In your shoes I suppose I'd go ahead and check that. Something to do anyway. I doubt the PO's mechanic on my Jeep knew or cared that it is adjustable.

OK...I'm not positive on that diagram. The knock sensor about there also. It has a different EV-1 connector, same as the injectors.
The coolant sensor might have the power to tell the ECU that it's nutty cold and lots of fuel is needed. A poster, CPTslackass I think..his wouldn't work without that disconnected.
There is some simple map testing info here > http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/...iagnostics.htm
You cleaned your IAC right?
How is the idle when it's running. Hear any hissing?

It seemed to start easier when I disconnected it. But I'll double check tomorrow. I'll test the MAP tomorrow. No hissing while running. Idle is kinda low though. Bad IAC? Thanks

Does the low idle change when it gets hot?
"Bad IAC?" ... Might be part of the problem... or maybe not. What did it look like when you pulled it and cleaned it? Did it 'exercise' (move freely but FIRMLY)?
Do NOT adjust the idle set screw! (Although someone else probably has anyhow...) The idle set screw is a baseline setting & the computer takes over idle control from there.
RENIX XJ's are very prone to intermittent electrical issues from oxidized connections in the harness and poor grounds. A poor ground (like in the TPS circuit) causes all kinds of grief... as does having a bad (or missing) engine ground strap and/or battery to frame ground. Checking those costs no more than time & maybe a few generic battery ground cables & wire.
Do you have a digital volt meter? You're going to have to test the sensors... actually test them.
It is possible to have spark that comes & goes with an intermittent CKS or CPS.

I adjusted the TPS yesterday. All grounds have been upgraded. CPS voltage (AC) is as high as .95 at the ECU connector while cranking.

New development guys.
So, I went to start and it and it didn't. So I unplug the CTS, still didn't start. So I unplug the O2 sensor, just to try, still won't start.
So, I try holding the pedal to the floor, still won't start. I keep cranking to "air" out the cylinders just in case there is too much fuel in them. Cranked it long enough and it started.
So somehow after I park it and turn it off, excess fuel is getting into the cylinders. So, it's essentially flooding over night. Not sure how, but it is.
The only thing it could be is injectors, right?

This thing is pissing me off. It wouldn't start when I went to leave work. Even held down the pedal. Off to a job interview right now, so later I'll have to go try and start it. Wish me luck, interview and starting wise.
