Does anyone know where I can get a new headliner for my jeep. None of the junkyards have any and my headliner backing is torn.

As far as I know, you can't. You can however pull it carefully and replace the material. I did it on an 85 and will be doing it on an 86

How badly is the backing torn? I had a few small rips in mine and duct tape cured it before i recovered it.

I could do a headliner for you, but finding a box to ship it in would be difficult.

Not hard at all. Remove visors, lights, trim, and a few clips holding it in. A second hand is helpful in holding it.

It's so easy a girl can do

The only time I needed a extra pair of hands is when pulling it out so it would not break. Just make sure you get some good adhesive glue when recovering!

I did this went to a local fabric shop and they have several colors to choose from. The places that where bad I built up with newspaper and adhesive. Once dry as good as new.

Make sure you use a good spray on adhesive so it will last like factory. I did mine over 2 years ago no bubbles or sags

Cammo....sweet.
Going to fabric store: look at double-fleece. Takes the adhesive well and is very durable.
Just stay away from the dreaded...MONKEY-FUR. Why? Your name and address will be sent to the Anti-Monkey-Fur Bureau and they will show up late at night and slap you silly.

I always use 3M Super 77. Its a little more cost but its well worth it.
