Default Brighter headlights

Get a pair of Sylvania "Silver Star" headlights. They make all the difference in the amount of light projected. I have them installed on my LJ and Cherokee. Got from Amazon.com for $21 each.

the silverstars are a decent upgrade, i like my GE HO sealed beams better though. best thing is a set of H4 housing and good bulbs and an upgraded harness.

I spent the money on silverstars and did not see a any thing great for what they say you should.

Checkout GOJEEP.COM for a killer harness upgrad that alone makes a differance. But the H4 housings are great i run bulbs form susquhana motor sports osram hyper whites with an 80watt low beam. They make night driving a pleasure. In a pinch went silverstar ultras while waiting for my replacement osram in the mail (only bad part) and was like driving in the dark.

This one of my best upgrades i ever made worth every penny.

I to installed Silverstars in a pinch. There are MUCH better than stockers, however I will still do an upgrade to the harness and goto new housings and bulbs. There is a great thread on an upgrade harness from a chevy. Great pics and straight forward. Serch it, it looks worth it. They say just a harness upgrade will improve the silverstars to. In reallity the silverstars are pretty decent, if you want a quick fix, and 19.99 a piece from PBoys. They still don't tell me if I have a bright future.

I swapped mine right after I got the Xj. Couldn't stand the dim yellow originals. Especially after driving newer cars with 4H lights. Cost was about $90.00. It was well worth every penny. If you check around they make direct fit ones. Headlights & factory fog lights are now 5000K hyper white Halogens. They make brighter bulbs than that, all the way up to 130/190W. But I'm not sure what's street legal here. ( replacement bulbs after that are about $10 for headlamps, $5 for fog lamps ). I did make sure they had glass lens, Plastic ones turn dull after a while.

I second the motion on the harness upgrade, heres a link to a completely hand made one http://go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoHeadlightLoom.htm, also the "autopal" brand h4 housings off of ebay work great, and run somewhere around 60 bucks shipped, i just wouldnt get the diamond ones, i know the euro and dot approved are glass casings, much better than stock once adjusted! http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Autopal-...34Q2ec0Q2em322
