Default No bus code

I want to go jeepin’ in my 01’ Cherokee but she’s tossing a “no bus” code on the odometer. I’ve read a bunch of forums and done a ton of research. It’s at a crank no start position. None of my gages move and I’ve cleaned the cluster, replaced the cps, cleaned my whole engine and all my grounds, got a new battery, even changed the ecu. I put my scanner in and it says no connection, won’t get any codes. Still getting that same old code. I wanna go take it up the trials so bad and I just got new tires as well and rebuild my front end and am so anxious to go ramble. I don’t know what to do anymore, anything will help. I’ve been trying to trouble shoot this for so long now I need someone’s help

So it cranks but won't start?
I have read that a No Bus could be a symptom of a bad CPS.
So I guess my question is since you already replaced the CPS what brand did you use?
With the CPS most guys will tell you this is one sensor that you only by Mopar of.

Have you checked for what the VOLTAGE is of the CCD BUS system at both the CCD BUS(+) and CCD BUS(-) cavities at the Data Link Connector?

I say to disconnect the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CkPS). Afterward, look to see if your scanner is able to communicate with the bus data system to read any codes?

It depends on where the primary fault is located and what it is? I know sometimes if and when there is a fault occurung within any of the associated circuitry to the CkPS.. something like this has the ability to cause a failure to communicate for scanners with the bus data system to read codes though...

It at least has the potential to be worthwhile. I think it is worth it to give it a shot, and see what happens?

I meant to ask if you have had the dash removed recently for any reason, or done something like a HVAC box or heater core replacement?

There is a spliced wire-set for the CCD data bus which is located behind the dash. If the spliced wires end up getting disturbed somehow, such as after removing the dash during a heater core replacement or something.. this can cause data bus issues.

The wire bundle associated with the splice (I think it is a bundle?) is located far forward toward the engine under the passenger side dash. The dash needs to be removed in order to fully access and see all of it. You should still be able to remove and loosen enough stuff to get at it for a feel if you wanted to try repositioning the wiring.

I would be sure to first disconnect the battery when doing electrical work.
