what do you guys think about this
2x4 .25 thick steel for rockers and then cover with stainless steel.
added braces to the unibody and then painting them

how hard was it to get the tubing molded in. i made rock sliders for my cherokee, but i dont want to put them on anymore and also because my rocker panels are rusted out. i have had this idea for a while now but i just havent had the time to get around to it. i thought it would be a great idea because it saves ground clearance on the sides and it strengthens it.

once you cut them out the steel slides right into place. Then I welded the sheet and steel together, added the stainless to make it look stock. Now I have to make the braces to the unibody.

That is a variation of what Stryker did on his. Also a variation of boatsides. Looks like you did a good job of it. Hard to weld stainless and make it look good.
