Default grinding noise, HELP!!

to start its a 98 4.0 auto np231 TC, and chrysler rearend. i have a grinding noise that sounds like its coming from the rearend but hard to really tell. it does it coasting in neutral as well, also makes a howling noise making left turns.here is what ive done so far... replaced wheelbearings front and back, changed diff fluid front and back looked ok no metal flakes or anything, checked brakes front and rear for anything missing or loose. changed ujoints on driveshafts. the only thing i noticed is there is play in the rear driveshaft where it goes into the TC. is there suppose to be any play there? idk i do know the noise is still there. could the rear output bearing on the TC cause this? if not im guessing carrierbearings.

just grab the yoke on the rear diff and see if theres any unreasonable play to it, if not i'd try to get the output bearing replaced on the TC, if i remember correctly they're only like 12 bucks or so.
