Default grill clips and egg shaped thing inside the bumper

Where can I find the clips that hold the bolts that hold the grill to the front of the truck?

Also what is that small, large egg shaped thing that sits inside the bumper on the passenger side. It looks like it holds air?

You should be able to find these fasteners at your local hardware store. I'm pretty sure Tractor Supply has them, although I'm not sure they're exact.

Actually it's the opposite! It holds vacuum. It is used for the HVAC controls (changing vents & temp) and also on the older Cherokees (to up to 90 or 91 I believe) for the vacuum-actuated 4x4 disconnect.

Cool, Tractor supply eh? Do you know what they are called? Thanks for the diagram, thats cool that it works using vacuum. Knowing why my vents arent changing is nice, now I can fix it! Does anyone know anywhere online that I can get ahold of cherokee hardware such as the fasteners for the grill?

If they are the ones I am thinking of, they are called speed clips or speed nuts.

In regards to the vacuum line and reservoir: A neighbor just told me I could get it working by plugging up the line with a screw. Some electrical tape would probably help with that. I will probably just get the reservoir and a new supply line anyway.

About those grill clips that hold the bolts, I still have not found any. I called my local Chrysler dealer and they still couldn't give me a hand. I cant believe neither the grill or the header panel come with or even have that hardware available. It would be easy to manufacture.

Pockets and Cruiser, Thanks for schooling me on the hvac info. 98 and turbo thanks for a hand with gettin' that grill in place. And Crabby patty, thats a fantastic Idea, go for it. Go big or go home man man. Christ is King and seated on the throne. He loves us incredibly. Griffin, out.

I had trouble with some parts from this place, but for things like you're looking for, they're your best bet.... http://teamcherokee.com/grille-faste...che-1987-1996/

And it's pricey, for sure, but I've not found them anywhere else.

Some of the grill fasteners almost look similar to some of the license plate fasteners you can get at Walmart or an Auto supply store. Try some of your local hardware stores, We have one in the Quad Cities that carries almost everything.

Good thinking KHester, because O man, Bobo, 100 Dollars from the factory is insane. 35 bucks from team blah blah whatever is downright horse feed.
