I did mine last night. Can feel the diff driving. Hold OD better on hilly highway at 60MPH. BTW, no way, no how I could leave the "top Hats" on the 703s and get them in my 92 manifold so I went without them. Figured I would try it without and see. works great, ran great, feel a bit more power, no issues.

Enquiring minds want to know... As I really dont' need new injectors right now, I can't see spending the money to purchase injectors from fiveomotorsports or any other such shops for $300+... I know it would be a huge improvement over my 190+K injectors... but ultimately not worth that much to me... so I am trying to find out what JY injectors I can be on the lookout for, for the 98+ setups... especially since I will be upgrading to the 99+ IM when I do the injector upgrade, as well as a header.. so would like to get all the parts to do it all at once if possible.. I am going to look into a 5.2/5.9L ZJ & Rams to see if they injector plugs are the same, as they are larger and better rated injectors... but woudl like to know if there are any others that would work with the 98+ intakes...

keep an eye out for vapors leaking. not having them on just seems like a bad idea.
Like I said, at first I didnt think theyd fit with them on too but they DO.

You should start a new thread for this one.

well i ended up figuring it out with some help on another thread on here, i needed the 784's, which were in a stratus and a neon with the 2.4L, they fit perfectly in me xj, probably the best 30 bucks ive ever spent ha, definitely a good increase in power and we'll see if the mileage is any better, also idles a million times smoother and starts better too, after looking at my old injectors im amazed that they even did anything

The 99+ IM won't matter injector wise as the fuel rail and IM ports are the same on both. "98+ setups" puzzles me..Do you mean you have a '98?..If so you'll need to check as they seemed to change injector plugs at some point during that model year so you could have the 87-98 plug or the 98-01 plug. Of course if someone with an older XJ wants to run the newer and fresher injectors they make EV1-EV6 adapters for like $30 a set.

Can anyone post a picture of the 784 injectors installed or not?
